My artwork has always been an instinctive response to my life experiences. Ever since I could hold a utensil, art has given me a sense of inward harmony like nothing else. I view my artwork a collaborative process through which I am creating while simultaneously being created by the work.
Painting, drawing, digital, and mixed media offers me avenues of expressing the mystical and enigmatic in the material realm. I enjoy exploring how these mediums can provide a vessel to hold the fluid and mysterious concepts that are difficult to define. I view creativity as participating in the continual flow of spirit that exists within everything and connects the all to the all.
I meditate on the illusions of separation in my pieces, considering what would change if we felt the union between humans and nature, the mystical and mundane, and ourselves and others. I use symbolism from indigenous cosmologies, particularly those of my Celtic ancestors, to exhibit these contemplations.
